OK.
We admit it. Britain's Got Talent is responsible for
arguments in living rooms up and down the country
tonight.
Never
has a talent show had so many potential winners that we
really have no idea who may be walking away the victor
tonight. Of course, the overall result is up to the
Great British public. And it is your votes, and your
votes alone - which will decide whose life will change
forever tonight. Britain's Got Talent truly is a variety
show, and as we set off around the country on the
audtion trail, we had no idea the wealth (and weirdness)
of the acts we would uncover. No matter what tonight's
result turns out to be, the ten finalists on stage
tonight have beaten over 50,000 acts to get as far as
they did. Well done to all!
And
it's not been easy. One of Nemisis injured his foot and
had an ice pack on it in rehearsals. Suleman from
Signature tore a ligament tonight. And poor Izzy from
Escala had to have a bit of a sit down when she came
over all faint!. Hopefully though, it will all be worth
it.
As
the acts wait nervously beside Ant and Dec, everyone
knows that their life could change in an instant. A
chance to take part in the Royal Variety Performance, as
well as £100,000 to take home, is at stake.
Dec
says "You have voted in your millions and the
results are now in".
The
top three acts are - Signature
(Madhu looks ready to cry!) Andrew Johnston (He gives
the thumbs up) George Sampson (He grins ear-to-ear)
Dec
announces that the third place goes to Andrew Johnston.
He holds back the tears as the judges applaud him while
standing.
The
winner of Britian's Got Talent 2008 is...
George
Sampson
He
is in floods of tears - but he must compose himself to
win again.
From
Signature, Suleman says George is a wonderful winner,
we've had a wonderful time"
George
says simply, "Thanks so much. You've changed my
life and I couldn't ask for anything else.
George
let me tell you you are the dancing version of Rocky -
you deserve everything because you've battled your way
to the top. Applications for Britain's Got Talent 2009
are now open. Do you have what it take to feel like
George Sampson feels tonight?
Yes!
I want to apply to be on Britain's Got Talent 2009!
